Authorities in Norway are looking into whether or not Jay-Z’s music streaming service, Tidal, faked its streaming numbers. Reports say that certain acts received hundreds of millions of falsified streams. Specifically, Beyonce’s Lemonade album and Kanye West’s Life of Pablo album were allegedly fraudulently streamed over 300 million times. Tidal denied the allegations, which surfaced last year, and said it was just the victim of a data breach. An official investigation was launched yesterday.
