STARK COUNTY, Ohio — The National Weather Service confirms that an EF-0 tornado touched down just west of Canton on Thursday night.

The twister touched down around 8:15 p.m.; it started in Navarre and ended in eastern Perry Township in Stark County.

According to the National Weather Service, the vast majority of the damage associated with the storm was uprooted trees and broken tree limbs. The survey team did note some minor structural damage including shingles and siding removed from a few homes.
