Self destruction was never M.C. Lyte’s path, only the lighted path of success.

The ladies first fell in love with Malik Yoba back 1999, way before FOX killed him off on ‘Empire’ season number number one, on another great show ‘New York Undercover’ that was gone too soon after 4 seasons. But now it look’s like everybody’s favorite police show is getting a reboot with a little Lyte being shown on it, rap legend, Emcee-songwriter, model, actress, motivational speaker, DJ, voiceover talent, narrator, mentor, MC LYTE.

Law and Order creator and original New York Undercover creator, Dick Wolf is on board for the New York Undercover reboot that is set to have Malik Yoba playing his orginal role of J.C. Williams, Lauren Velez returning as Nina Moreno and M.C. Lyte.ABC has taken a pass on the reboot but it looks like FOX might give their original series a green light especially now that they are put the brakes on ‘Empire’ and ‘Star’

Check out what M.C. Lyte has to say in the interview below about her role in the New York Undercover reboot below.
