Multiple Tornadoes Cause Widespread Damage Around Dayton, Ohio

For the citizens of our brothers and sisters south of us, in Dayton, OH the Memorial Day Holiday concluded with a large tornado tearing through the city a little after 11 pm last night.

A series of confirmed and suspected tornadoes ripped through Ohio’s Miami Valley Monday night, causing at least one death, some injuries and widespread damage leaving tens of thousands of homes and businesses in the dark. The funnels were packed so closely together that one crossed the path carved by another and kicked up debris so thick it was seen on radar. [Read More]

Thank God that as of right now there were no serious injuries being reported in the Dayton area.

Authorities announced early Tuesday that the National Guard was being deployed to the area. The Ohio Department of Transportation said crews were using snowplows to help clean up debris that was covering Interstate 75 north of downtown Dayton. While there were no remaining tornado warnings, there were active flood warnings until early Tuesday. [Read More]
