EX-Cop Kim Potter Now Public Speaker “I Killed Daunte Wright. I’m Not Proud Of It”

Former Minnesota police officer, Kim Potter, who was convicted of killing a Black motorist, Daunte Wright, when she used her handgun instead of her taser during a traffic stop for him having an air freshener hanging from his rearview mirror, is out of prison and delivering presentations at law enforcement conferences. A new move that is stirring up a heated debate.
When Kim Potter was released from jail she went to the prosecutor who originally charged her saying she wanted to do something to help other officers avoid taking a life. The prosecutor then saw the presentation as a path toward redemption.

“I killed Daunte Wright. I’m not proud of it. And neither should you be.”
Daunte Wrights mother, Katie Wright, says the plan amounts to an enraging scheme where her son’s killer would turn a profit from his death and dredge up painful memories in the process.
