Every woman should get a yearly mammogram starting at age 40
Wellbeing Wednesdays with Matty Willz : Importance of Annual Mammograms
Every woman should get a yearly mammogram starting at age 40 to detect breast cancer early, so you have more treatment options and a better chance at a healthier outcome. It’s especially important for Black women to get screened, since they are at higher risk for more aggressive types of breast cancer.
Natalie Joseph, MD, Director of the Center for Breast Health and Division Director of Surgical Oncology at MetroHealth, talks with Matty Willz and Micah Dixon about understanding your breast cancer risk and making an appointment to get a yearly mammogram. Early detection is key to fighting breast cancer. If you’re 40 or older, call 216-957-BRST (2778) to schedule a mammogram. For more information, visit metrohealth.org/breast-cancer.
