27 year old Olympian Simone Biles might be small in stature but she is the most decorated gymnast of all time, hence why congratulations are in order as she has been named 2024 Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year.

According to SI, Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast of all time is more than her staggering medal count. She has altered the face of gymnastics, sparked sweeping change across sports—and this year capped it all with an astonishing personal comeback.

Simone Biles, is the first Olympic athlete to be tapped for the publication’s Sportsperson of the Year in over a decade, the last was basketball superstar LeBron James in 2012.
