We’ll all love a good documentary while we are chillin during the holidays.  After the ball dropped in Times Square, CNN dropped the story of the incomparable R&B singer, Luther Vandross in a new documentary titled “Luther: Never Too Much” on News Years Day.  However, everybody wasn’t having a party when the bad boy documentary snuck out New Years night.  Legendary singer Patti LeBelle’s team is upset because they were not feeling Ms. Patti being painted as the bad friend in Luther’s documentary.

The documentary included an interview from Luther Vandross’ songwriting partner, Richard Marx, who says, “One of the things that really pissed me off is there are people who have talked about his personal life, people who he considered friends.”, then from there shows a 2017 clip of Patti LaBelle seeming to confirm rumors about Vandross’s sexuality during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

“We talked about it… He did not want his mother to be [upset] — although she might have known — but, he wasn’t going to come out and say this to the world,”

Patti LaBelle invited the documentary producers into her home and sat for an hour-long interview to share stories about her late friend, insiders tell Page Six.  But they edited out her interview because she refused to sign release forms when producers denied her request to see the final cut.

Allegedly Patti LaBelle who has been touring, hasn’t seen the documentary yet.
