A suspected arsonist inside a Cleveland high school has been caught on camera.

FOX 8’s I-Team initially released the video. You can view it near the bottom of this post.

The arson took place at East Tech High School in October. In the video, you can see a man pouring what appears to be gasoline on the floor in the gym. Then you can see him start a fire.

He then does the same thing in a doorway before he leaves.

From FOX 8:

It happened before dawn on a weekend morning. Investigators said the suspect had broken into the building.

The suspect can be seen walking away from the crime. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, however, one of the walls was severely damaged by the fire.

The suspect has yet to be identified.

Since the fire, East Tech has had to cancel basketball games and move its homecoming dance.

Richard Starr, a Cleveland City Councilman and graduate of East Tech, told FOX 8, “I always try to think about what impact will this have on our children. It made me start to ask questions to why this individual feels at liberty to do something inside of the school.”

This is a developing story.
