(WOIO) –

Classes and activities at Orange High School were cancelled on Monday, November 7th due to a bomb threat.

Official Statement from OHS

“On Sunday evening, Orange High School administrators and the superintendent received a bomb threat from an unidentified person targeting the school . With the safety of our students and staff in mind, we chose to cancel classes at Orange High School and close the building for Monday, November 7, 2011 to give us time to work with local police to investigate the situation. The high school administrators, the superintendent and the school resource officer, with the assistance of the Pepper Pike Police and area canine officers searched the high school well into the evening.  The building currently remains closed in order to recheck all areas.

Upon completion of the investigation by Orange Schools and the Pepper Pike Police, we will share further details. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
