CLEVELAND – Police in Rocky River said an 18-year-old woman was raped, then tossed from a moving van and found naked alongside W. 47th and Train Avenue in Cleveland around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to authorities, a Good Samaritan saw the incident and followed the Ford van into Rocky River and called police using his OnStar, an in-vehicle communications system, and led police to the alleged rapist’s whereabouts.
The Good Samaritan’s tips led police to the suspect’s van on Detroit Avenue and Wooster Road — and subsequently, the arrest of the alleged rapist.
The 18-year-old victim is currently at a local hospital being treated for her injuries.
Police continue their investigation.
