NEW YORK — Jared Williams, a former star baseball player for Wagner College in Staten Island, is blaming a racist New York City police officer for the demise of his baseball career.
Williams claims that after he was falsely arrested by officer Michael Daragjati, he was kicked of his college baseball team and wasn’t allowed to enter the MLB draft.

The New York Daily News reports:
Williams was kicked off the baseball team just as he was being courted by scouts from the Kansas City Royals, Colorado Rockies and Baltimore Orioles, he said.
Williams said he was not shocked to hear that Daragjati was arrested this week by the feds for allegedly fabricating criminal charges against a black man last April on Staten Island.
