MOGADORE, Ohio - Newell Rubbermaid will be adding nearly 140 full-time jobs and investing more than $25 million in its Rubbermaid manufacturing facility on Gilchrist Road in Mogadore. The investment includes buying new machines, as well as improving infrastructure. “I am excited at the opportunity this expansion represents for the Village of Mogadore and Summit County, in particular the number of new jobs this project will bring to our area,” stated Russ Pry, Summit County Executive.

CLEVELAND - Several organizations are coming together to combat a major and costly problem in northeast Ohio. The problem is the growing number of vacant homes in the area. Some estimates show more than 30,000 abandoned and condemned homes are depleting neighborhoods in our area. According to the Cuyahoga County Land Bank, these homes have cost northeast Ohio $1 billion in lost property value and tens of millions of dollars in lost property taxes, in the past five years alone.

CLEVELAND - The response to Horseshoe Casino Cleveland's call for applications to fill 750 new positions has been nothing short of amazing, casino executives said Tuesday. In the first 24 hours, they've received roughly 8,500 applications. "It's been great, it's been an overwhelming response," said Horseshoe General Manager Marcus Glover.
