*Despite 20 years of marriage, a popular Food Network show and a recent best-selling book, Pat and Gina Neely are calling it quits.

Media sources report that Gina Neely filed for divorce from her husband, citing “irreconcilable differences.” A joint statement from the couple reads as follow:

“Today we announce that we are ending our marriage of 20 years for irreconcilable differences. This was a tough decision, but we believe it is the best decision for us. As parents of two beautiful adult daughters that we love dearly, we will continue to be involved in each other’s lives as parents and friends. Together we have built a strong brand as The Neely’s. Moving forward our focus will be on our individual brands and we are optimistic about our respective futures. We ask for your prayers as we go through this transition and honor our request for privacy at this time.”

News of the split strikes a serious blow for the Neelys, who gained fame with their Food Network series “Down Home with The Neelys” and recently released the best-selling book “Back Home with the Neely’s: Comfort Food from our Southern Kitchen to Yours.” The Memphis-based chefs still own a barbecue restaurant in New York City after closing two establishments in Memphis and one in Nashville. The former couple’s divorce states they own four properties together, including some of the closed restaurants.

Individually, Gina Neely launched a new line of Green Giant foods amid losing a significant amount of weight while participating in the George Foreman Weight Loss Challenge recently. As for Pat Neely, he has a partnership with Family Dollar that shows people how to shop for food on a budget.
