CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – The historic Lancer Steakhouse is now back in business!

The landmark restaurant once located on the corner of Carnegie and E. 77th Street burned to the ground in December 2009 after serving the community for more than fifty years.

Workers were back at this weekend, and after two days of testing they officially reopened to the public Sunday.

The restaurant was open from 1pm-8pm Sunday and according to Lancer’s Facebook profile, Sunday’s soulfood special was fried chicken, greens, yams, and mac and cheese!

The Lancer Steakhouse reopened at it’s temporary location at 7707 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.
