You can always count on Prince to keep you guessing, but the Purple One has taken the element of surprise to a new level by holding a press conference to announce a tour and then not announcing any dates.
Here’s what we know – Prince will host and perform at a concert series called Welcome 2 America that will also feature Mint Condition, Janelle Monae, Cassandra Wilson and Esperanza Spalding among others. What we don’t know is exactly where these shows will take place. Billboard refers to a “forthcoming tour,” Live Nation tweeted about Prince performing in NYC this December while Rolling Stone first tweeted W2A would be a residency at the Apollo then said it would be a multi-night stand in the NYC area.
