A North Carolina teacher writes “loser” on student’s paper and now all heck has broken loose. The mother of a 6th grade student at Enka Middle School in Buncombe County North Carolina says that her daughters teacher has made a habit of writing “loser” on her child’s work when correcting papers. The teacher says that he is only trying to relate to the students by using terms like “loser.”

The parent of the student says that the teacher has also singled her daughter out and has been bullying her; she gives an account of the teacher throwing the girls pencil box out in the hall. Buncombe County School officials say that the matter is a personnel problem that is currently being addressed.

Rex Roland, a teacher at Enka Middle for 12 years had been the subject of the parent’s complaints back in the fall for writing “loser” on the girl’s assignments. After talking to school officials the notes stopped. They have now resurfaced and the County School district is involved in the matter.
