Actor Forest Whitaker inked a deal with Oprah’s OWN Network. Playing the role of executive producer and narrator, Whitaker got on board with the project with director Lisa R. Cohen to detail what life was like for people who will never come home again in the new documentary “Serving Life.”

It will debut on the Oprah Winfrey Network Thursday (tonight) at 9 p.m. The peeps in the documentary are serving hard time at Louisiana’s notorious Angola maximum security penitentiary, where 85% of its inhabitants will never know freedom again.
