Is Reggie Bush making another play for Kim Kardashian just days before she’s set to walk down the aisle?
There’s word that Reggie has been on a campaign to keep Kim from marrying her NBA beau Kris Humphries. A source close to Kim claims that the NFL player has been sending Kim a barrage of messages, pleading with her for another shot at love.
“He’s been sending text messages to Kim and leaving her voice mails, telling her she’s making a mistake and that he’s the one for her,” one insider told Life & Style. “In the past, Kim was friendly to Reggie but now she’s stopped responding.”
Reportedly, Reggie last contacted Kim on August 4, when he tried to reach her by phone during a dress fitting at Vera Wang’s studio in New York. “It was a friend telling Kim that her ex Reggie Bush needed to talk to her,” the source explained. “He was begging her to call off the wedding—and give him another chance.”
Kim is set to wed Kris on August 20, so Reggie doesn’t have much time left to stop the ceremony in its tracks. Kim and Reggie dated on and off for the better part of three years, but they split for good in March 2010. Now, Kim’s compadre dished that Reggie’s using one of his pet names for her in text messages to rekindle the relationship.
“She used to love that nickname,” the source revealed, explaining that the name, which wasn’t revealed, has lost much of its charm. “Now that he’s using it when she’s about to get married to someone else, it’s just annoying to her.”
While Reggie may be hoping for a reconciliation, Kim is over him. “She was burned by the end of their relationship,” the tipster stated, “and she’s truly moved on.”
Neither Kim nor Reggie has commented on the gossip, but it could make for an interesting moment during the speak-now-or-forever-hold-your-peace portion of the nuptials.
