(WOIO) –

Breaking news this hour.

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit the East Coast of the United States Tuesday afternoon just before 2PM.

The aftershocks were felt all over the viewing area, including Downtown Cleveland, Wooster, Solon, Warrensville Heights and Twinsburg.

An apartment building at Cedar and Brainard in Beachwood was evacuated as a precaution, and the schools in Cuyahoga Heights were evacuated, too.

Some concerned downtown workers also left their buildings.

There is no reported damage at this time.
