19 ACTION NEWS FIRST ALERT FORECAST

TONIGHT: Showers and storms, some of which can be strong to severe.  Threat of damaging winds, heavy downpours and even hail.  Low: 67  Wind: SW 10-20+ mph.

THURSDAY: A few showers and storms early Thursday.  Turning mostly sunny.  High: 79  Wind: NW at 5-15 mph

FRIDAY:  Mostly sunny and pleasant.  High: 78

A cold front is approaching the area, out ahead of it we will see showers and storms develop.  The biggest concern is the warm and humid air which is rushing in out ahead of this front.  This is adding to the instability and will result in a few strong to severe storms tonight.  Biggest concern is damaging wind gusts and locally heavy downpours.  Expect this front to push through early tomorrow morning, leading to a pleasant Thursday afternoon with a sunny sky and less humid air in place.
