Two Teens Killed In Cleveland Shooting

Cleveland police are investigating a shooting that left two teenagers dead and two other people injured Monday night.

Officers responded to the 17600 block of Invermere Avenue around 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 17. The shooting happened in Cleveland’s Union Miles neighborhood.

Cleveland EMS pronounced a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man dead at the scene.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the 17-year-old victim as Hasani Reed of South Euclid. Authorities have not publicly identified the 18-year-old victim.

A 17-year-old boy and a 34-year-old man also suffered gunshot wounds. Both arrived at area hospitals in private vehicles. Police said their injuries were not life-threatening.

Police Say Family Dispute May Have Led To Gunfire

Cleveland police said their preliminary investigation indicates a family dispute may have led to the shooting.

Video from the scene showed a large police presence near Invermere Avenue. Officers also dealt with a large and emotional crowd as investigators worked at the scene.

Police have not released additional details about what started the dispute or who fired the shots.

Authorities continue to investigate the shooting. No arrests or suspect information have been announced.
