11-year-old Destiny Badley was shot in the face while standing in the doorway of a home on Clark Avenue. The little girl had surgery Thursday morning to repair an artery, and is currently recovering at Metro.

Destiny’s family tells 19 Action News Reporter Jen Picciano they believe Destiny was shot in retaliation, and was not the gunman’s intended target.

Destiny is the cousin of suspect Shondre Badley.

Community members, friends, and family gathered Thursday night for a rally to stop the violence.

A memorial fund has been set up for Randall Smith at any U.S. Bank.

This is Cleveland’s 53rd homicide of 2011. At this time last year, the count was 50.;;playerWidth=630;playerHeight=355;isShowIcon=true;clipId=6257858;flvUri=;partnerclipid=;adTag=News;advertisingZone=;enableAds=true;landingPage=;islandingPageoverride=false;playerType=STANDARD_EMBEDDEDscript;controlsType=overlay;galleryType=wnstory;galleryId=15465078
