BARBERTON, OH (WOIO) –
Barberton police say a 15-year-old boy raped and murdered his three-year-old half sister.
The teen was arrested Wednesday and brought to the Barberton police station by his attorney.
Little Makayla Jones died at Akron Childrens Hospital on June 22nd, from injuries she suffered in a sexual assault.
The attack happened at her mom’s house on June 19th on Iowa Place in Barberton.
Her half brother is now locked up in the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.
Three year old Makayla lived in Barberton, Ohio with her mother Sarah Robinson and three other siblings, who are now in the care of child services.
