CLEVELAND – A man was seriously injured when he was hit by a truck outside Cleveland Browns Stadium Sunday evening.

It happened around 6:44 p.m. on state Route 2 between the East 9th Street ramp and the West 3rd Street exit. The Browns played the Baltimore Ravens at 4 p.m., but many fans left the game early.

Cleveland police said 20-year-old Ryan Dentscheff, of Warren, was crossing the street when he was hit by a 2006 Dodge truck. The driver of the truck stopped and was interviewed by Cleveland police investigators.

Dentscheff suffered serious injuries and was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

The case will be turned over to the prosecutor’s office and the crash is under investigation by the Cleveland Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit.
