CLEVELAND – At least two water main breaks close roads in northeast Ohio Friday morning.

Lake Avenue at West 110th Street in Cleveland is closed because of a water main break that also caused the roadway to buckle. Water is rushing from under the street in more than a dozen places. That water has iced over the roadway in that area.

Cleveland police are asking anyone who travels in that area to avoid Lake Avenue and to use Clifton Boulevard as an alternate.

There’s a second water main break in Euclid. Euclid police said a water main busted at Lakeland Boulevard between East 222nd Street and Babbitt Road. Lakeland is an access road to I-90.

This will be affecting you if you’re on East 222nd Street trying to get on Lakeland to get on 90 eastbound. The exit ramp from I-90 eastbound to Babbitt Road is also closed due to the ice and water.
