NORTH ROYALTON, OHIO (WOIO) –

North Royalton High School was under lockdown for about 30 minutes Wednesday morning after a student reported a classmate threatened her and made reference to guns.

The student went to her counselor with what the 9th grade boy had threatened. The counselor alerted the school resource officer, who contacted police.

Officers then searched the area and found no weapon.

The 9th grade boy is now being interview by officers at the police station.

Police tell 19 Action News there are permits for guns at the boy’s home, but all those weapons are accounted for.

Officials are considering charges of inducing panic.
