MANSFIELD, Ohio – Authorities at the Mansfield Correctional Institution said inmate Jeffrey Lewis walked away from his garage work assignment and the prison is on lockdown.

Prison officials noticed the 25-year-old was missing around 9:25 Wednesday morning.

Local law enforcement, the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction and troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are working together to find Lewis.

Lewis is wearing a prison jumpsuit, stands 5’9″ tall, weighs 168 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Authorities ask if you know where Lewis is to contact your local police department.

Lewis was sentenced to spend three years in prison on Oct. 4 for receiving stolen property in Summit and Medina counties.
