CHARDON, OH (WOIO) –
A 27-year-old male was shot and killed during a police involved shooting Thursday morning.
According to Geauga County Sheriff’s Lt. Hiscox, Ryan Sever was shot around 4am in the area of North Street and Allynd BLVD. He died from injuries.
Geauga County Sheriff’s will be assisting Chardon Police with their investigation.
The shooting happened near Chardon High School, but school officials tell 19 Action News that Thursday’s classes will begin on time.
Lt. Hiscox tells also 19 Action News that Thursday morning’s shooting has nothing to do with last month’s deadly shooting rampage at Chardon High School.
