Tamia plans to release her second full length independent album entitled ‘Beautiful Surprise’ this summer. “The album I think is definitely a summer record,” she told YouKnowIGotSoul.com of the upcoming effort, which follows “Between Friends”.

Tamia has enlisted the creative energy of well sought after producers Salaam Remi (Monica’s Cry), Carvin & Ivan (Kenny Lattimore’s Find A Way), The Runners (Rihanna’s California King Bed), Chuck Harmony (Toni Braxton’s Pulse), and Shep Crawford (Tamia’s Can’t Get Enough).

The issues that have impeded the Canadian songstress from locking down a drop date has nothing to do with recording the the music. “It doesn’t take me long to do an album, maybe a month and half, something like that. It’s just all of the other things like the artwork and videos and all of those things that take a long time.”
