The Browns roster needs to be down to 53 by 9pm on Friday. They will not release their list of cut players until midnight, but word is starting to trickle out. QB Seneca Wallace, TE Evan Moore, TE Dan Gronkowski, WR Rod Windsor, LG Jarrod Shaw, DE William Green, CB James Dockery and SS David Sims are the first crop of names to be leaked.

Wallace’s release would seem to indicate that Colt McCoy has won the back up job, however, there are rumors out of Philadelphia that the Browns are negotiating with QB A. J. Feeley. If he came aboard, he would likely slide in as the back up QB and McCoy would likely be let go. It’s believed the Browns would like to hold on to Thad Lewis as their third stringer.

Moore was part of a log jam at tight end. Benjamin Watson, Jordan Cameron and Alex Smith play the position, rookie Brad Smelley can also play there. Smelley can also be used as a fullback.
