The return of BET’s highly anticipated ode to women of color ‘Black Girls Rock’ was such an inspiring show we must recap in case you missed it.
Much like its ‘BET Honors’ counterpart, the event is set to showcase some of music’s best and brightest performers to serenade and shine light on women of color who have made impacts on their respective personal and professional communities.
Airing moments ago, the Tracee Ellis Ross / Regina King – hosted showing, tapedOctober 13 at New York City’s Loews Paradise Theatre, honored actress Kerry Washington (‘Scandal’) and songstresses Alicia Keys and Dionne Warwick as well as featured performances from the likes of Ciara, Brandy, Keyshia Cole, India Arie and more.
