*Brian McKnight must have found out that his grungy nasty new style of sexually infused lyrics was not so welcome. So he’s gone back to his conventional style with his new eOne Music release.

On April 2, fans of his original style will get to enjoy 16 new tracks on his first album in two years.

In an interview with the Huffington Post he admitted that though he told the public he doesn’t want to do another album ever again, the project found its way into his studio.

“I really didn’t think I would have this much to say anytime soon. And when the label came to me to say, ‘would you like to do another record,’ I said, ‘Well I got these sixteen songs sitting here, so let’s do it,’” he said.  “And that was pretty much it… I never stopped writing, it’s just the way that the business is now you just try to find a different model. But once I started writing I said to myself, ‘Maybe, I’ll do one more, let’s see what happens.’”

But what about his adult mixtape attempt? He says the attention he received about the song, “If You’re Ready to Learn,” wasn’t a bad thing.
