CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Courage Fund for Gina DeJesus, Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and her 6-year-old daughter has grown to $700,000, with money continuing to roll in.

Councilman Brian Cummings said they are in the process of setting up four individual trusts where the money and all future proceeds will be divided for the women and Berry’s daughter.

Even though the money hasn’t been divided into the trusts yet, Cummings said the women’s attorneys are able — and have had access — to the funds.

If you donate to the Cleveland Courage Fund now through May 28, NewsChannel5 will match your donation dollar for dollar – with the total amount matched being up to $15,000.

The three Cleveland women escaped from a house of horrors May 6 on Seymour Avenue after being held captive for 10 years. Alleged kidnapping suspect Ariel Castro remains jailed on $8 million bond. His strange behavior in jail seems to be setting up a not guilty by insanity plea.
