CLEVELAND – A Bon Jovi concert scheduled to kick off the Browns’ season at FirstEnergy Stadium has been canceled, the team has now confirmed.

Multiple sources, including one connected directly to the event, told NewsChannel5 of the cancelation earlier.

The team unveiled details of the concert scheduled for July 14 in a news conference at the end of May, which they called a “major announcement.”

For refund information, ticket holders should return to their original point of purchase, the Browns said in a news release Monday. A reason for the cancelation has not yet been announced.

A source tells NewsChannel5 the concert will not be rescheduled.

The event was also to include a fan fest, performance by Cleveland native Michael Stanley and the Resonators take the stage at 6:30 p.m. and a Browns pep rally, all leading up to Bon Jovi.

Tickets for the show went on sale Monday, June 3 at 10 a.m.
