Quel Scandale! Kerry Washington is married. Multiple websites are reporting that the 36-year-old “Scandal” star got hitched to San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on June 24 in Blaine County, Idaho.
Gossip website TerezOwens.com was the first to break the news Tuesday, writing that they had “just received news” of Washington and Asomugha’s secret nuptials.
E! Online and Us Weekly subsequently confirmed the marriage, with the latter citing records that show Washington and Asomugha filed for a marriage license in Idaho. Washington’s parents reportedly served as witnesses.
“It has been recorded in the Blaine County clerk’s office that Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have been married on the 24th of June in the town of Hailey, Idaho,” a representative for the clerk’s office told Us Weekly.
The notoriously private actress and football player have reportedly been dating for one year, since summer 2012. This is the first marriage for Washington, who was previously engaged to actor David Moscow in 2007.
Representatives for both Washington and Asomugha declined to comment to HuffPost Celeb.
