CLEVELAND – One of Cleveland’s cameras used to catch drivers who are speeding is being moved.

The city said Tuesday the Portable Camera Unit that was located at 4123 Pearl Road will now be placed in the 112th block of Lorain Avenue eastbound.

Other locations include: 2400 Block of Orange Ave. (was previously 4050 Superior Avenue), 2416 E. 55th St., 2300 St. Clair Ave. and 3219 Detroit Ave..

The cameras issue automated citations for speeding as an extension of the city’s Operation Safe Streets program.

By the end of the year, the number of cameras is expected to grow to 15. If one of them catches you speeding, it’ll cost you $100. If you’re going 25 or more over the speed limit, the price tag jumps to $200.
