Snip, snip, snip is being heard all around Hollywood!

“I wanted something different. A change,” Jennifer Hudson told EURweb associate Fahnia Thomas. “I was like, if I’m going to go short, I’m going to go all the way. And so I did. I’m so happy to see the response its getting.”

Hudson debuted her pixie cut at the BET Black Girls Rock event at the end of October. More recently, Pamela Anderson and Kristin Chenoweth chopped their manes. And now Jennifer Lawrence has joined the posse!

Starlets have been lining up to drop off their locks; as shorter-do’s have been seen on Anne Hathaway, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, and Queen Bey.

Holding the scissors is Cesar Ramirez – J Hud’s hairstylist – who tells InStyle.com, “A fierce, short pixie is the perfect way for her to show the world how fierce she really is. We both agreed that going short is like a reward well-deserved when losing a lot of weight, and the long hair didn’t seem to showcase her personality.” The Weight Watchers spokesperson, by the way, has  lost more than 80 pounds.

“For Jennifer, we kept a bit of length and volume on top to elongate her face, and it gives us room to create multiple looks. In wearing your cut, give it life, but don’t let it wear you,” says Ramirez who also works with LaLa Anthony, Ciara and Adrienne Bailon.

Black Girls Rock!” The songstress posted on her Instagram. She added, “Yep , catch it! You’ve been jenniferized…catch it!!”

J Hud can be seen on the big screen alongside Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Tyrese Gibson, Mary J. Blige and Jacob Latimore in the new movie Black Nativity out November 27th.
