CLEVELAND – A new fan experience will come to FirstEnergy Stadium in time for the 2014 season as part of a two-year modernization project.

The Cleveland Browns introduced the plan during a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

During the first year of the project, new scoreboards will be added to the stadium. Two new video boards, nearly triple the size, will replace the existing ones in the endzones. Other video boards throughout the stadium will feature statistics, scores and information.

A new audio system will also provide enhanced audio for music and announcements.

The number of seats in the lower section will increase, putting many Browns fans closer to the field. This change will remove 3,000 seats from FirstEnergy Stadium.
