Don’t say anything to Lauryn Hill about her tardiness to her own shows because she will read you the riot act. The lauded R&B star showed up late to a Chicago concert and had a man escorted out when he complained to her.
Lauryn Hill was scheduled to take the stage at Chicago’s House of Blues at 10:30 pm, but didn’t hit the stage until 11:20. Hill got through one song and fans were disappointed because they felt she sounded horrible. A fan close to the stage called the “Lost Ones” singer out and gave her the middle finger. Lauryn accosted the man and refused to move forward with the show until he was removed from the venue. She did say his money would be refunded because she”does this for the love.”
Another attendee, who shot the video, says they walked out after two more “rush and sloppy” performances of her hits. As they were leaving the concert, there was a very long line to get refunds.
Lauryn Hill just lost more than one fan that night, but she doesn’t seem to mind at all. Check the clip below.
