CLEVELAND – The green is turning gold as Cleveland State University turns 50.

What started as Fenn College, housed in an old YMCA building, has grown into a thriving university campus in the heart of Cleveland.

“It’s no longer a port,” Ronald Berkman, CSU’s president, said. “It’s now a destination.”

New buildings have been sprouting up across the CSU campus for the past decade, from a new student union to a new recreation center, to several modern housing complexes.
