EAST CLEVELAND – A Cleveland Heights man says police wouldn’t respond after he was beaten by a group of juveniles at an RTA station Sunday.

The alleged attack happened at the Windermere station on Euclid Avenue.

The man, who asked not to be named for fear he may get attacked again, says six juveniles beat him up around 5 :30 p.m. as he was walking to catch the bus.

“One looped behind me and said ‘hello’ to me. He said ‘what’s up’ while the other one hit me in the head as I was passing by,” the man said.

He said he laid on the ground while he was kicked and punched repeatedly.

The victim’s sister Wendy is mad — not only at the people who attacked her brother but at East Cleveland police as well. Her brother didn’t call 911. Instead, he called her.

After she took him to the hospital, she says she came back to the area and spotted the teens from his description. That’s when she called police, she says.
