Dear Tom,

My dad, Frank Stancil is a real dad. He raised seven of us-six of us still living.

Dad has not always had it easy.  He worked very hard truck driving and on the railroad so that we would have a great childhood and even after we were adults, he has always been there to give us a hand or sound advice if we needed it.

Over three years ago, our mom passed away and he’s been having a tough time financially and physically.  Dad will be 88 this year and will not leave the home he shared with his soul mate, although the entry stairs are getting a bit steep for him.

We worry about him and the stairs. He is trying to get a ramp built, but the cost is too high.  It seems out of reach for dad.  Not all of my siblings are in a position to help chip in to get at the very least a foldable ramp and doorway ramps for his newly acquired scooter which would amount to about $1,000. We would love to be able to do this for dad for all he has done for us. Please tom, any help you could give would be much appreciated by us and dad as well.
