Syleena Johnson has joined the ranks of Graduation Season 2015 by completing her diploma 21 years later.
The story goes, she enrolled at Duke University back in 1994, jointed Zeta Phi Beta in 1996, transferred to Illinois State in 1997, but dropped out just before the finish line so that she could focus on her music. She signed a record deal with Jive, released eight albums, got married twice, had children, toured, did a reality show, and so much more, but she never got to finish school…until recently.
The R&B Diva picked up where she left off, and this time, she crossed the finish line! Johnson posted a graduation photo of herself on Instagram, where she expressed gratitude for her major move, and shared her testimony.
This is the perfect inspiration for everyone who may feel like it’s too late to achieve their dreams and goals. It’s never too late. Understand? Good!
Congrats Miss Syleena. Weeeeeeerk!
