At least 11 total people were shot. The shootings spanned the city over a period of three days.
Friday night, a 7-year-old boy was shot in the hand during a drive-by shooting on East 92nd Street. Emontae Johnson’s parents said he has since been released from the hospital and didn’t sustain any permanent damage to his hand. Police are still looking for the person(s) responsible.
At 11:38 pm Friday, a man was shot outside a car at 504 E. 108th Street.
Two children were shot Saturday morning on Cleveland’s west side. The 9-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy are in critical condition after the shooting on Willowdale Avenue. The uncle of the two children was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Police said the children’s parents and three other children—a 10-year-old, 4-year-old and 6-month-old—were inside of the home when the shooting occurred. They were not injured. The shooting is under investigation.
