AKRON, OH (WOIO) –

Akron police arrested a Kent State Universityprofessor Wednesday night after he was caught in an SUV with a teen he met online.

Someone called 911 and reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Smith Elementary School on Chester.

According to police when they arrived the 44-year old professor and the 15-year-old boy was inside a parked Ford Explorer. The officer “could not see inside because the windows were steamed over and the vehicle started bouncing around.”

While being questioned, police say the man told them he met the teen online three days ago, had picked him up from home and they were only talking about having sex when officers arrived.
