CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sounded in full campaign mode during her visit to Cleveland Thursday morning.

“I don’t care if you’re a democrat, republican, independent, green, you name it. Everybody should be encouraged to vote, otherwise our democracy doesn’t work the way it should,” Clinton said.

Her visit to this non-early voting state was billed as a “Commit to Vote” grassroots organizing meeting.

Hundreds showed up to hear her speak about what she calls common sense gun legislation, the Black Lives Matter issue, student loan debt, and jobs for the middle class.

“So, I want you to be a part of this campaign. I’m here to ask for your help. We’re going to fight hard in Ohio,” Clinton said.
