For the past 10 years, the YMCA of Greater Cleveland has been grooming a whole new generation of winners through their We Run This City youth marathon program! Since 2006, We Run This City has turned over 6,000 Cleveland kids onto running. Some kids put in 25 training miles with their school teams and then “finish” their marathon on race day as part of the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon. But others run the full 10k or half marathon. That’s 6.2 and 13.1 miles people. What’s even crazier, eight incredible winners have run the FULL 26.2 mile marathon. That’s crazy! We’re talking kids here, people!
