Get ready for the trippiest show in America. The 2015 Soul Train Awards will be a star-studded affair that you don’t want to miss. Erykah Badu is the host and she is ready to bring the peace, love and soul.
The Weeknd and Bruno Mars (along with Mark Ronson) lead the pack of nominees with five nods apiece. Abel Tesfaye’s nominations include Best R&B/Soul Male Artist and Album of the Year for his chart-topping effort, Beauty Behind the Madness. Among Mars & Ronson’s mentions include Video of the Year and Song of the Year for “Uptown Funk.”
Other nominees include Beyonce, Chris Brown, Jidenna and Tyrese who all grabbed four mentions apiece.
In addition, R&B icons Babyface and Jill Scott will be honored with the Legend Award and the first-ever Lady of Soul trophy, respectively.
