Jilly for Philly truly looks stunning in the issue. It’s hard to believe the songstress reportedly didn’t like her cover shot.
According to New York’s Page Six, the actress/singer was outraged at the “unflattering” cover photo. She supposedly confronted Essence’s editor-in-chief, Angela Burt Murray. In response, a spokesperson said: “We love the May cover, and readers have responded favorably to the image that was pre-tested.”
